IT'S JUST LOVE
CREDITS
The porn industry is one of the most profitable and yet controversial markets in the world today, often subject to widespread scrutiny and criticism. French photographer Sophie Ebrard aims to change people’s perception of pornography through her photo series It’s Just Love. She followed director Gazzman for four years, documenting the performers during or between takes, showing a more human side to the industry.
The resulting images, capturing unguarded moments, are tender and contain very little sexual gratification. The artist sees the industry just like any other: a group of like-minded people making a living and enjoying their profession, “whether you agree with it or not, it’s actually creating something.” Erbard says her aim is not to objectify. Rather, she shoots her subjects honestly and without prejudice, lending a new perspective to porn and the people who take part in it.
