To Hungarian photographer Zsuzsa Darab (b. 1989), photography is all about diving into the depths of her mind. The healing and therapeutic effect of photography was the starting point for her latest series Again. “It’s about the letter you’ve never sent, the words you weren’t able to say out loud,” Darab says. “Photography is my private practice where I am the doctor, the patient and the cure.”
We see wild landscapes revealing an inviolable atmosphere rife with mystery and serenity. Different textures give each image a vivid tactility, as if you could feel the sea wash away your sins and hear the wind rumbling, blowing a storm of thoughts through your mind. This unbridled wilderness she captures serve as a mirror of unpredictability, like life itself.
