Critical Mass is an online platform that helps photographers to promote their work to a wide selection of professionals in the field. The 18th edition of Photolucida’s Critical Mass is open for submissions until June 16, 2021. Our Editor in Chief, Erik Vroons, is among the jurors this year.
Photographers (from anywhere) should submit a 10-image portfolio. The 200 finalists who proceed past the first, pre-screening round then have their work reviewed and voted on by the full panel of 200 jurors. Awardees will be announced in the Fall of 2021.
Submission Fee: $60
Prizes include:
– $1000 cash Michael Reichmann Project Grants
– Blue Sky Gallery Solo Show Award
– Features in a dedicated issue on Fraction
– All finalists will receive a limited edition signed print by Granville Carroll as part of the Print Collecting Initiative.
