PHOTOIRELAND FESTIVAL
CREDITS
Over the last decade, PhotoIreland has become a key player in the visual arts scene in Ireland, offering an annual festival dedicated to photography, running a cultural hub in Dublin city centre and developing constructive channels with a strong network of organisations worldwide. The PhotoIreland Festival continues to be the ideal testing ground for artists and curators. This edition investigates the context of digital visual culture and its future, underlining new modes of creating, distributing and consuming contemporary photography. Performative and non-conventional modes of presentation are encouraged, as well as a more traditional approach. The programme includes collaborations with Marco De Mutiis (Fotomuseum Winterthur, Switzerland), Jon Uriarte (The Photographers’ Gallery, London) and Hiro Tanaka, among others.
In 2020, the Festival will take place between July 8 to 19.
